Outstanding space comfort and future-oriented digital competence combined with the visible form of an athlete: The new Audi A6 Avant is victorious in every circumstance. Sporty and elegant on the outside, cultivated and generous on the inside, the Avant is comprehensively networked with the attainments of the digital age.
Flatter, wider and deeper - the front of the new A6 Avant demonstrates power and ability to catch the eye at first glance. The strikingly displayed wheel arches, the early sloping roof line and the flat upright D-pillar underline the dynamics of the proportions once again and outline an incomparable silhouette. The rear is particularly accentuated by the sporty roof edge spoiler and the characteristic chrome trim. For an athletic presence with uncompromisingly generous space provision.
At the centre of the dynamic front: the emphatically flat and broadly modelled single-frame grill with horizontal aluminium-look slats. It is flanked by the sharpened headlights, whose characteristic light segments plunge into the depths. Thus the the optical centre of gravity is pulled outwards and the broad effect maximised. Together with the re-designed, fully horizontal bonnet line, the front looks more uncannily existent and focused than ever before.
With sharp surface edges and tight, athletic lines, the A6 Avant signals progressiveness and dynamism, especially in its profile. The slightly inwardly curved door section accentuates the strongly flared wheel arches to an even greater extent, which brings out the quattro genes in an eye-catching manner. The wheelbase of the A6 Avant has grown to 2.92 metres.
The rear section shaped in three dimensions is presented in a sporty way by the discreet roof edge spoiler and receives a high recognition value with the characteristic chrome strip. Together with the horizontal tailpipe covers with an aluminium look and the unique light signature of the rear lamps, an exciting image is created which once again underlines the progressive character of the A6 Avant.
Uncompromisingly comfortable: The optimised space concept of the new Audi A6 Avant offers drivers and passengers more leg, head and shoulder room with the usual generous boot volume. The split rear seat back with load-through option can be folded down flexibly in a ratio of 40:20:40 and adapts optimally to your wishes and needs. Whether with family and camping equipment in the mountains or for longer business trips: With a loading volume of 565 to 1,680 litres, all options are open to you.
The optional panoramic glass roof offers 30% more viewing area in comparison to its predecessor and gives the interior space a bright and friendly ambience. In strong sunlight, the electrically adjustable sun protection roller blind ensures low heating and 100% protection from sunlight. Of course, the glass roof can also be opened. For an optimum supply of fresh air and - thanks to the integrated wind deflectors - a pleasantly quiet atmosphere.
The colours look both progressive and elegant. The materials - Valcona leather and decorative trims in matt brushed aluminium - are of high quality and of manufacturing quality.
10.1-inch and 8.6-inch HD touch displays MMI High with touch response fit seamlessly into the elegant dashboard and are supplemented by the 12.3-inch display of the Audi virtual cockpit. Extensive personalisation options allow up to seven drivers to save preferred settings in individual user profiles. Similar to smartphones, central vehicle functions can be dragged and dropped to the desired position on the MMI screen. Flexible, comfortable and above all: simple.
The MMI touch response system sets standards for intuitive operation and personalisation. Up to seven drivers can store their preferred settings in individual user profiles to define up to 400 functions. The system allows quick access to vehicle functions thanks to its logical, flat menu structure. Similar to smartphones, frequently used functions can be placed in the desired position in the MMI menu using "drag and drop".
Click, wipe, zoom, scroll. The MMI touch response operating concept brings the comfort of current smartphones into the vehicle and extends it by a decisive factor: haptics. If your finger touches the display, it does not immediately trigger a function. Input is only recognised when you press lightly with a defined force, and you receive a mechanical confirmation pulse as well as a clicking sound. So that operation is easy and safe even under difficult road conditions. On the upper display, the driver manages infotainment and navigation services; on the lower display, text input, air conditioning and various comfort functions can be controlled. The 12.3-inch display of the Audi virtual cockpit plus, with functions such as navigation, telephone or audio exactly within your field of vision, gives you an even better overview.
MMI navigation plus offers innovative navigation technology with the greatest possible functionality, maximum ease of use and many extras.
The petrol engine is a 3.0 TFSI. With 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque, equipped with the new mild hybrid technology.
Audi's new mild hybrid technology, which can reduce fuel consumption in real driving conditions by up to 0.7 litres per 100 kilometres. In doing so, a belt starter generator co-operates with a lithium-ion battery and thus generates additional energy, which leads to improved acceleration, greater efficiency and increased driving comfort. The technology is offered in two variants: The four-cylinder engines use a 12-volt power supply, the six-cylinder engines use a 48-volt power supply, which serves as the main power supply.
The standard progressive steering system ensures powerful driving dynamics through an emphatically sporty transmission.
